Wild strawberries are one of the most sought-after berries due to their intense scent and flavor, which are very different from the common strawberry.
Plants will produce white flowers that need to be pollinated by hand. Rich in mineral salts, vitamin C and magnesium, it’s particularly useful for lowering blood pressure and it is suitable for people with diabetes because of its low glycemic index.
You can grow it all year round with our smart garden but we recommend harvesting after 3-40 months from germination.
Uses
You can use wild strawberries in many different ways: to decorate desserts, as ingredient in a fruit salad, for cocktails, for a coulis combined with panna cotta or yogurt and cereal!
If you manage to produce a lot of strawberries, you can also make an excellent jam!
