Thyme is a herb with a scent similar to oregano and with many properties. For this reason it is also used as officinal plant.
Thyme is used as a remedy for colds, coughs and digestive problems.
You can grow it all year round with our smart garden but we recommend harvesting after 40 days from germination.Ideal temperature for growing is between 20° and 30°C.
Uses
You can use thyme in many different ways, mainly as a herb for meat, fish and vegetable dishes with tomatoes, squash and peppers.
Thyme can be also used as an infusion with honey to alleviate sore throats and coughs.
We also suggest trying it in a fig and thyme jam!
