Spearmint is a herb that contains menthol, an active ingredient with refreshing, digestive and analgesic properties. Since ancient times it has been considered to have medicinal qualities.
You can grow it all year round with our smart garden but we recommend harvesting after 6 weeks from germination and until 10 weeks.
Uses
You can use spearmint in many different ways. You can use the leaves for an infusion after dinner to help digestion and baby colic. Mint essential oil helps to alleviate headaches. You can also use mint in cooking by adding it to vegetable or fruit salads, or to a summer pasta and to minced meat used for stuffing. It’s great for cocktails, such as Mojito, or for smoothies.
