Wild Rocket is a plant whose leaves are characterized by a bitter and spicy taste. It has been well-known since the Roman times, when it was considered as an aphrodisiac.
Nowadays it is recognized as a superfood, because it contains 17 nutrients considered essential for our health: fiber, calcium, iron, potassium and vitamins of all groups.
You can grow it all year round with our smart garden but we recommend harvesting after 1 month from germination.
Ideal temperature for growing is between 20° and 25°C.
Uses
You can use it fresh or cooked. It can be added to salads, pasta, pizza, focaccia bread, piadina wraps, sandwiches or used to make a sauce, a pesto, an omelet or simply as a side dish for meat.
