Rosemary is a typical Mediterranean herb. In fact, its name ros marinus refers to its connection with the sea. Its taste is reminiscent of eucalyptus, pine and sage.

Its use is very ancient, not only as herb, but also as an antiseptic during pandemics. Nowadays it is used in the Mediterranean cuisine as an ingredient. It’s also used in cosmetic and phytotherapy sectors: rosemary essential oil helps focus and memory!

You can grow it all year round with our smart garden but we recommend harvesting after 2 months from germination and until 4 months.

Ideal temperature for growing is between 20° and 30°C. It is little slow to grow, be patient!

Uses

You can use rosemary in many different ways. It’s very common in the Mediterranean cuisine as a herb combined with grilled or stuffed meat and fish, main courses, focaccia bread, or flavoured oil and salt. You can try it in interesting combinations, such as for a dessert with orange and chocolate or use it for an excellent Gin Tonic!
Rosemary can be used for an infusion, to keep your hair healthy or to keep away mosquitoes during summer nights.
